The Newberg Rotary Club, from Oregon, recently traveled to Guatemala to put a dental clinic in partnership with Transitions. The clinic was hosted in a nearby school in the village of El Hato, located on the hillside above Antigua. El Hato’s population consists primarily of indigenous Guatemalans with strong Mayan roots, and many of these people lack access to the proper medical and dental care that is available in more urban parts of Guatemala.

Among the services provided at the clinic were medical examinations, dental check-ups, and massage therapy. The Rotary teams treated over 120 patients, including many disabled children in need of a wide variety of therapeutic services, and the clinic was able to make a huge impact in improving this people’s live.

Thank you to Newberg Rotary for all your help in Guatemala!
