Don Buzzingham is the Development Director for Transitions Foundation. He is a recent retiree from Iowa State University where, for over 16 years, he served as County Extension Education Director for Des Moines County. Previously, he taught on the faculty of the Department of Recreation, Parks and Tourism Sciences at Texas A&M University and Career Technical Institute. For the majority of his career he has been an informal educator with the Boy Scouts of America, the Texas Agricultural Extension Service (now Texas AgriLife), and Iowa State University Extension.
Don holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Lamar University, Beaumont, Texas and a Master of Science degree in Recreation and Resources Development from Texas A&M University. He has also completed significant additional study in the areas of nonprofit administration, tourism and fund development.
