Our Team

Alex is the executive director of Transiciones. He and other young people
with disabilities formed the organization 25 years ago, never realizing what
a difference it would eventually make for so many other disabled
Guatemalans. Alex has lived with paraplegia for over 30 years, having been
shot during a robbery in a local shop when he was a teenager.

Here’s an interview with Alex by Justice-Centred Rehab at McGill
university in Canada.

Rebecca is the development director at Transiciones. she is an Australian
lawyer, writer, researcher and translator.
